6 Days tour from Casablanca itinerary:

Day 1 :

Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes:

Our 6 Days tour from Casablanca Upon arrival, our staff will welcome you with open arms and show you a brief summary of what this tour covers.

We usually call it the imperial cities tour, this trip starts at the economical capital of the country, Casablanca. Bordering on the sea and perfectly decorated, Hassan II mosque is the second largest in Africa.

Left Casablanca behind, we drive to the administrative capital of the country. In Rabat we are going to visit the city’s emblem; an uncompleted mosque surrounded by a lot of columns forming a tower known today as Hassan tower. Not too far from the tower, there is Mohamed V mausoleum.

Another main highlight in this city is Udaya Kasbah in which you can wander through its walls and gardens to gain more sight about the history and culture of this city as this building is registered as a World Heritage Site.

During lunchtime, we will get to Meknes in which we have a tasty lunch.

After lunch and relaxation, we carry on our tour by a visit to the well-known gate of Bab Mansour and the square of “Lehdim” next to the gate.

In the evening, we hit the road to the country’s cultural capital, Fes city.

We drop you in the riad to spend the night.

Day 2 :

Fes in one day guided sightseeing tour :

After breakfast, we begin the second day of the tour by discovering the big and the small about this city.

First of all, Fes city is the second largest city in Morocco.

Unlike any other city in Morocco, it is divided into three different areas; the old medina, the old city of Fes and the modern city.

By feet, you will walk through the narrow streets of the old medina watching the busy merchants offering their products everywhere; you will find yourself standing in a medieval market.

This city is a heaven of tourist attractions; our tour makes sure you visit as much as possible of them including: historical monuments, mosques walls and gates, kasbahs, Madrasas, gardens, mausoleums and so on.

For instance, we visit the golden gates of the Royal Palace to capture amazing photos.

Also, The Chouara Tanneries in which you will see how the traditional process of leather dyeing goes from A to Z.

Moreover, the tour includes a visit to the old Al Quarawiyyin University which is believed to be the oldest university in the world. To perfectly end the day, you will attend an amazing panoramic view of the city.

Afterwards, we drive back to the riad.

Day 3 :

Fes – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert:

In the third day of the trip, we depart Fes and make our way to the Sahara Desert. The way to Merzouga Desert is full of nice views and different stations.

Our first stop will be at Ifrane city, often referred to Switzerland of Morocco because of its buildings’ design and its weather.

Following a road full of green trees, we stop at the middle of the Cedar Forest of Azrou. Here you can see the Barbary apes moving around looking for food that usually passengers come with.

Leaving the humid green spaces of the Middle Atlas, we officially step in the High Atlas with its dried lands and mountains.

Crossing the mountain pass of Tizi N’Talghomt, you will notice the blue dam of Al-Hassan Addakhil which is main resource of water to the whole region of Errachidia.

Anther stop will be in the Ziz Valley; a green valley of palm trees which serves as the first producer of dates in the country.

Taking some photos of this panoramic view, we carry on driving through the black flat lands until we see the giant sand dunes indicating our arrival to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga.

Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4 :

One day Safari tour in the desert :

This day is a special day.

After breakfast, we embark in the 4WD vehicle and start our special drive through the golden sand dunes of the Sahara Desert to discover its hidden secrets.

Following the old way trace of Rally Dakar, we stop at a special place above a mountain which offers a panoramic view of the valley that divides the sand dunes with the mountains.

It is also from where you can see the Algerian borders.

Not too far from the mountain, we move to an ancient abandoned French village that dates back to colonization days.

We discover this village alongside with the mines in the area.

One of the favourite stops is when we meet nomad families living next to the dunes.

They host us cheerfully in their beautiful tents; we can play with children, find out their culture and way of life and ask them how they manage to live seeking for water and herbage for their livestock.

Afterwards, we move to the other side of the desert in which we stop at Khamlia, a village inhabited by people mostly originated from the Sub-Saharan countries.

In the village, you will be welcomed to rest and listen to their legacy art; Gnaoua music.

After lunch and repose in the hotel, we go to the edge of the dunes where camels are waiting for you to start an unforgettable experience.

After your camel trekking through the dunes, you find yourself in a camp in the middle of Sahara Desert.

You should attend an amazing scene when the sun disappears in the very far mountains forming a nice view of changing colours.

At night, dinner will be served in the camp followed by a seat around fire playing Berber drums.

Night is spent in your own well-equipped tent, but if you are a photography lover you should not miss the chance to ascend the dunes and watch the brilliant sky garnished with unlimited numbers of shining stars.

Day 5 :

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley :

In the morning of our fifth day of the trip, we end our tour in the desert with an amazing sunrise.

After that, we drive to a nearby town named Rissani, a big traditional market of different products and people coming from all around the Tafilalt region.

Driving through many Berber villages, we reach the city of Tinghir.

This city is known for its amazing mountains especially the Todra Gorge, giant and narrow rocks forming a very nice view of a gorge with a stream in between.

To make the tour more interesting, we drive through the amazing zigzag road of Dades Valley.

Unlike the southeast of the region, this region is known for its green spaces and huge numbers of sand castles built in the area, but the interesting part is when we stop to see the magic of geology, rock formation usually called “monkey toes”.

In the evening, you may want to have free time to more explore the area yourself.

Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 6 :

Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech :

The last day of the trip begins when we leave Boumalne Dades and make our way straight to Ouarzazate city.

The first town on our way will be Kelaat M’Gouna, better known for Roses Valley.

Next stop is in Skoura town in which we visit the living museum of Amridil Kasbah.

Arriving to Ouarzazate city, we surely make a visit to Taourirt Kasbah which is known for its unique traditional way of building and the history it holds.

The city is sometimes named “Hollywood of Africa” for the number of films and TV series it hosts such as; Game of Thrones, Vikings, The Mummy, Gladiator and the list is long. For this reason, we visit the Atlas Film Studios to see how film-makers work and make this environment special.

Another main attraction of films is the well-known Ait Benhaddou Kasbah.

You can take a walk inside the Kasbah and find out how many families lived peacefully in the Kasbah and end your tour with a panoramic view of the whole area including Tirza river.

Afterwards, we drive through the Atlas Mountains and stop above one of the most famous mountain passes in Africa, Tizi N’Tishka with an altitude of 2260m above the sea level.

You are going to have a sporting chance to capture memorable photos and marvel at the amazing views of the mountains stretching away.

In the end of the day, we arrive to Marrakech and drive you to your accommodation where the tour ends.

6 days well spent!

A long journey with stops in suggestive places in central Morocco, through the Atlas range up to an overnight stay in Western Sahara.

An "extreme" experience in contact with local traditions and cultures and the nature of the places.

Recommended for those who are not looking for comfort but authenticity
