Day 3 :

Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert:

In the morning, we will begin today’s trip into the desert of Merzouga via interesting stops offering great views. Once leaving Dades Valley, we will drive on the road of Thousand Kasbahs to reach the Todgha Gorges for which the city of Tinghir is known.

As one of the best tourist attractions in the country, the gorge is simply a fascinating scene of a narrow road of very high mountains with a stream. We will have enough time to explore the area, capture some memorable photos, share the road with local inhabitants and have lunch in this amazing part of our way.

Afterwards, we will continue the road through Tinejdad town and cross the last town before the desert, Erfoud to finally arrive to Merzouga where we rest in the hotel before a great experience of camel trekking. Through the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes you will ride your camel to make your way to the camp in the middle of the desert.

After a magical sunset over the sand dunes, you will be cheerfully welcomed by the hosts in the camp whom will serve you a delicious dinner and play some drums music to make your stay unforgettable. Night is spent in your well-appointed tent in the middle of the desert under its sparkling sky.

Day 4 :

Early in the morning, you should not miss the chance to attend the amazing desert sunrise when the ambience is calm only the sun rises up from the distant mountains and lights the sand dunes in a changing colour scene.

After the shower and breakfast, we get back to the hotel where we start today’s journey to explore the desert. In the edges of Erg-Chebbi sand dunes, we will firstly stop at the harsh desert to visit the nomads living there in order to gain more sight on their traditions, customs and how they survive in this part of the desert.

After that, we will drive on an off-road through a desert valley which was in the past a racing way for Rally Dakar to end up in a mountain next to the valley. Above the mountain, there is a great point to see the clear transition from the sand dunes to the harsh desert and the valley separating them; as well as, a panoramic view of the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes and the various camping tents dotted in the dunes. Taking some amazing photos, we drive in the harsh desert direction to visit an old French village known today as M’Fis. The visit to the village will cover remaining buildings and the mines in the area.

Next, we will cross the valley into the inhabited area exactly in Khamlia village which is popular for Gnaoua music sung by the locals. Finally, we come back to the hotel to rest with an option of free time to explore the area yourself.

6 Days tour from Marrakech to Fes costumers reviews:

6 days well spent!

What to say about our stay organized by Medhi. We were very apprehensive about the negative comments from other tour operators. And yet, we had an incredible 6 days which will be remembered forever. The minibus was top notch, lots of space and air conditioning, the driver very friendly and careful on the roads!

The first riad was a little corner of paradise, Omar's welcome was the icing on the gift. Finally, the Sahara, straight out of the movies, incredible tents and heated despite the cold temperatures of the night. Evening by the fireside to sing and dance under the stars.
